ABOUT US
Meet Sean
Sean Gartland is an outdoor therapist and researcher with over 30 years of professional experience helping people find healing and wholeness in the outdoors. From exploring the woods of his childhood to whitewater rafting in Costa Rica, leading caving trips in Spain or humanitarian and development trips in Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Far East, he’s gained experience and insight to share with others in deep, powerful ways. Ongoing work as a therapy manager in the federal healthcare system, as well as working with Veterans, trauma survivors, those in recovery, first responders and hospital patients gives him opportunities to share the healing work and world which is available to everyone through the outdoors. He is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), ordained Chaplain, licensed EMT, and authorized American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Provider.
Our Mission
To serve where and how most needed using resources and research focused on the outdoor natural environment as a means of healing and enhanced quality of life.
